Sequence^® Boron – Disodium Octaborate Tetrahydrate ( B-20%)

The main function of Sequence^® Boron  relate to cell wall strength and development, cell division, fruit and seed development, sugar translocation and hormone synthesis. The Boron requirement at flowering and seed set may be higher than that needed for vegetative growth. Boron (B-20%) as a significant effect in pollen germination and pollen tube growth. Viability of Pollen grain also decreases when B is deficient.

Boron (B-20%) deficiency increases the drop of buts& flowers, resulting in significant reduction in seed and fruits set and also in the quality of fruits, seeds, nuts etc.

Boron (B-20%) maintains calcium (Ca) in suitable form thus insures its proper utilization.

Deficiency symptoms

Sequence^® Boron deficiency is expressed in the growing points of roots and shots and also flower and fruiting structures. Often, terminal buts and shoot internodes shorten, which leads to stubby, distorted new growth emerging from side nodes causing “resetting” or “bushy” appearance. Stems are brittle and new leaves may be thickened. Roots are often and stubby, very few roots hairs are presents. Flowering and fruiting are reduced and what develops is often distorted.
